In the past I may have wanted to run for office (I have for a smaller office), or try to be a ceo of a large company, or work on a billion dollar product idea. However , with politics permeating everything, and now that I actually have money, I actually feel like it is BS. 10 years ago Ben and Jerrys or the Body Shop were one thing, but now you have companies that hide some dark shit (like benefiting from Chinese slave labor) pooping your rainbow and trans flags, sayings BLM, and caring about the environment (but not embracing TQM which actually does helped their bottom line, the environment, and the user). It just seems like people are biting at the margins as their margins on things are slim as it is.

I remember reading software, real estate, and finance are the easiest fields to become a millionaire in. I am at the point where I just want to continue doing what I am doing (buying undervalued stocks), add in some real estate, and work on software projects and if I become a millionaire great, if not, I just want to go into the fucking jungle and tell people to fuck off (except some locals, as I actual enjoy some foreigners more than Westerners). But in terms of "getting to the top", it just seems like those at the top are wearing the skins of the successful people that came before them. Sure you make money (which is good), but at this point if I could have 10 million and go into the jungles of South America or 1 billion, but need to live in NYC, I would take the first offer. Part of it could me being older, but it just seems like politics and people's stupidity have really messed up any motivation to "get to the top" when that is just a continuation of the inanities of the common, so why strive for it? Perhaps it is due to perversion of the world order, but that is how things have felt for me in the past few years.

Sorry if this is a bit off topic, it is just I am tired of how politics has displaced any real social progress that could occur with paper tigers that do nothing.
