I Am Frustrated and Confused. /rant/
Post Body

So here goes. Ran for office in 2016 as a Libertarian, supported Gary (despite his screw ups) and generally everything was fine and well. Post 2016, it seems like the libertarian world has been in one big upheaval. People who used to be anarcho capitalists are now socialists, my friend who helped me with my campaign now seems like a neoliberal (I suggested we issues carte la blanche visas but hesitant about citizenship but he thought we should grant citizenship and thought it is better that the SEC and DOJ not merge as it create competition in government, seems like an oxymoron but whatever), the Libertarian board on reddit seems like a bunch of fart sniffing socialists, and the Libertarian Party is taking a dark turn in my opinion. I feel more like a right winger as of late than libertarian, despite wanting to privatize everything, legalize all victimless crimes, and with some luck abolish the US government.

However if I take a nuanced approach (like being for freedom of movement but being hesitant about being out voted or that we should have gotten government out of marriage instead of legalizing gay marriage), oh I am impractical and people don't like to think. That makes me wonder if they can't even be thoughtful at the polls, then why even give them a right to vote in the first place? I honestly see a lot of appeal in some aspects of Hoppeanism but it still does not see the trees for the forest. Instead of having to "legalize" every damn thing and incorporate and notarize and brand your ass with everything, why not just let nature take it's course? Why can't we move more towards something like common law or something that does not require 500 pounds of paperwork just to operate? Why are people so tied into this matrix and not question anything for god sake?

Honestly once this is over I hope I will have made enough from trading that I can move some place that has natural liberty (South America seems promising) and never look back. But in the mean time people want me to mosh with a society that I feel like has hated me from day one. Why should I put my productive efforts towards a society that does not even value hard work, innovation, and free thought? Why should I continue to put up a pretense that I even give a shit for a society that looks down on you if you are neuro atypical? At least with individualism I can keep what is mine and not at the whims of the collective and can break free of having to rely on the collective for their approval of my atypicalness.

Sorry for the rant but these past 4 years have really gotten to me.
