It seems like after Terrance McKenna died so did the idea of challenging the neuropolitics of the mind. Now it seems like if someone mentioned drugs and neuropolitics it just amplifies what they already believe instead of encouraging freedom through self exploration. Same with Discordians. I lwas browsing the forums and it seems like they are just divided as any site or group. On one hand I get there will be discourse in any group, but it just seems like no one want's to free their mind from the status quo and want to be anchored to it, even if it is "counter cultural". In so far as the counter culture attacks the establishment, it is to absorb them into the establishment. I in part would blame 9/11 but further blame 2008 for putting the final nail in the coffin for free Western thought.
