Filling shipping declaration for gifts as a non-taxpayer
Post Body

Hi! I am a student and have been in Spain for slightly less than 6 months, I don't have income and have never paid taxes. My Canadian friend has sent me a small package with gifts with the value way less than 45 euros, and I was notified by the post office that I have to fill out the shipping declaration. When I accessed the site, it says that my NIE should be registered at the tax paying office. But I will have only 3 or 2 days left starting on Monday until the package is destroyed. I am afraid of asking my landlord to be a receiver for the package coz it sounds fishy. If the parcel is not subjected to taxes, may I upload my NIE, or it still has to be someone who is a taxpayer?
