Just briefly scrolling so I don’t have time for much input, but I have to heavily recommend using WakaZilla as your leader. It has good range, and punches wayyyy above its weight because of its 3-fold attack. Its leader ability is also an absolute lifesaver due to its low cooldown and ramping power. Provided your leader isn’t getting constantly swamped by multiple units, Waka will do you a ton of good.

Haha, sorry, I get lost in abbreviations sometimes. WakaZilla is “‘89 Godzilla (Wakasa Bay Ver.)”. It’s a variant piece that, as of this season (or maybe last?), you can encounter in the daily shop. OP currently has them at lvl 1.
