Why is creating an account so asinine?

I am attempting to create a new account. For the last hour I have been failing to do so. The website is creating a loop of Home Page -> Registration Page -> Brief glimpse of a secondary registration page before automatically redirecting to -> Home Page. This is a mess. I've attempted turning off any shields that might be breaking scripts, I've tried closing the browser and re-attempting.
What gives?
