I work from home and use gaming as a way to manage stress and anxiety, so when I’m in between tasks or on a zoom conference I might pick up the controller and play for 30 seconds at a time for instance. It’s pretty incredible just how much content there is in this game, not only as far as the platinum but also in terms of completing so many of these objectives with different companions. The tone of many of the favors plays out very differently with Atreus vs. Freya imo.
The one cutscene I always turn the volume up for and watch without skipping is the forging of Draupnir. Favorite main story mission: the Word of Fate. I love the designs of the Norns, the Jim Henson inspiration works so well to create an atmosphere for their scene. The varied combat encounters and even a Sigrun jumpscare? Iconic. Least favorite story mission: sorry but it’s probably Ironwood. I like playing as Atreus, it’s a solid combat system and I think the actors in that mission all put in solid performances, but it just lasts soooo long. By the halfway point I’m already itching to get back in the driver’s seat for Kratos. But that’s just a nitpick, overall this game really is a 10/10 for me. I’d love to hear your questions.
