Why didn't Kratos just go back in time and save his family, living "happily ever after" instead of worrying about Zeus?

Post Body

At the end of God of War 2, Kratos defeats the Sisters of Fate and literally gains the power of fucking TIME CONTROL. He could literally shape the world in his image, bring back his family, make Sparta known across the world. Become a fucking KING. He could've had everything he ever wanted as long as he left Zeus alone. You know what, this brings up another point...WHY DIDNT HE GO BACK IN TIME AFTER KILLING ATHENA AND KILL ZEUS INSTEAD OF ATHENA.
