The High Septon was returning from the Red Keep, he was travelling with Septon Roger and both were unguarded, the Faith were not allowed armed men to keep them safe. The High Septon was walking down the Street of Steel when a large man corned the pair. "Give us yer gold, else I fukin' cut ya." The High Septon carried no gold, he had servants to do his shopping and a few zealous men would not charge him. He tried to speak "My good man, I carry no gold. If you are hungry we can feed y-" The man slashed the High Septon's throat and ran away. "Fukin' cunt. All's I wanted was some o' his gold."

Septon Roger ran. He did not remember which way or for how long but he ended up back at the Red Keep shouting "Guards, Lords, Knights anyone! The High Septon is dead! He was murdered on the Street of Steel someone help!"

Some knights and guardsmen followed Roger to the spot. The High Septon laid naked, someone had stolen his robes, his crown and all his rings, all bar one. The seventh ring, the one dedicated to the Stranger was still on his right middle finger. Septon Roger took the ring and said "We must hold a meeting of the Most Devout."

Weeks Later

Septon Roger entered the chamber of the most devout. He was given six new rings for the 6 other aspects of God. Septon Roger, a riverman born to a cooper entered the Chamber of the Most Devout. He left as the new High Septon. He was taken up to his new solar. He picked up the sword of the first Warrior's Son. Holding the blade he thought That tall bastard I paid did his role. Now I can do mine. With a High Septon murdered the faithful will be up in arms. I can petition the King to reinstate the Faith Militant.
