Post Body

The High Septon had been ageing. His face was worn and his hair was falling out. It was not just his body that was failing him, it was his mind as well. A fortnight ago the High Septon had been preaching to a crowd of minor nobles and their retinues, the men were all from Dorne and he began to call them Reachmen. It was because of this the Council of the Most Devout ordered the second highest ranking Septon to serve as a deputy. The new Septon was a Riverman named Roger.

The High Septon was working at his desk and Septon Roger was talking into his ear. "High Septon, you must make a show of strength." Septon Roger pointed to the swords of the First and Last Warrior's Sons. "Westeros is in danger of falling to the heathens. You must petition the King to reinstate the Faith Militant. Promise him they will be loyal to the Crown and the Faith." The High Septon was drinking from a glass of fermented milk and he went "Well, if you think I should, I'll meet with the King soon."

Septon Roger left the rule and began to laugh quietly. The fool, soon the King will have him killed. An unruly High Septon is a big problem. Then I will step in, assume the position and then I will be one of the most powerful men in all of Westeros. Septon Roger left the High Septon who sat like a child with a small spinning toy.
