Help! Cabinets separating from ceiling.
Post Body

Well, I'd love to say that Ariel (our name since we found a small Ariel toy in the front AC vent) made it the 3000 miles and back from Christmas vacation in great shape.

Unfortunately, she took a bit of beating on some of the roads in Mexico. I really should write a full trip report.....

However, I need some immediate advice on how to fix these cabinets.

Some Pics of the damage

From what I've read so far, plus nuts or jack nuts are really the way to go instead of rivnuts. They appear to be rivnuts. Is there a way to measure what size I should replace these with? Can I just put some lag screws in?

What are the chances those are through metal instead of wood?

Thanks!

Glenn
