Hey RV folks! My dad (age 69) and mom recently got a camping trailer and have started planning trips. But my dad, who’s usually someone who really needs a schedule to stick to and doesn’t do well with idle time, didn’t really enjoy all the sitting around they did on their maiden voyage. It actually put him in a minor depressive episode. (And ain’t no way my boomer dad is going to therapy; I already asked.) He likes to hike and be active and things like that, but he can’t hike all day everyday. So I was wondering if you have any gift ideas I could get him for Christmas for something to keep his mind busy while he’s camping? (Budget is approx $100 or less.) TIA
TLDR: what can I get my boomer dad for Christmas that he can take camping to stay busy?
Edit to add: I’m loving these responses so far! Thank you everyone for the thoughtful, creative ideas :)
