So I’m thinking about putting a hitch on the rear of my 5th wheel to tow my boat behind it. I know this isn’t legal everywhere but I would look into the laws before traveling. Trailer is a 30’ Forest river Cherokee 265bh. Truck is a 2015 ram 2500 with the Cummins diesel. Boat is a Boston whaler 13.5 sport. I know I have to make sure all capacities aren’t over. But I’m looking for advice on doing this. How do tandem setups as such handle down the highway at 65mph? Anything I should know about doing this besides for the added length? Obviously if I have to back up I’ll need to unhook the boat prior to doing so.
