update: 04/-3/2023: Sorry, needed a bit of a break so haven't really been active for a few weeks. But I'm back now and have a new gh set up! It's laminate flooring reinforced with metal brackets and notched to hook onto the hinges so I can open and close it. I've also attached handles to hold onto as well as a grommet into the hole to ensure a smooth surface, It still needs more work - I'd like to stabilize it some more, stain it, embellish with some wrought iron filligree, attach a lockable door knob and maybe a hinged hatch for easier access. I'd definitely appreciate any volunteers willing to beta test this gloryhiole 2.0 by letting me swallow their loads through it! If there are any construction guys out there with any tips as well, pls reach out and I'll be sure to take care of your tip in return!
