Hello.
I recently pulled my copy of Gloomhaven from the shelf, dusted it off, and decided to give a new campaign a go.
We decided to create a new party, since we remembered nothing of the old characters and the old party sheet got lost.
However, we have an issue. Some quests are unlocked by having a specific party achievement, but that party achievement is obtained by playing a specific scenario in campaign mode... And that scenario is already marked as completed. Therefore it can't be played in campaign mode, we can't gain the rewards including the party achievement.
According to this interpretation of the rules, the campaign is soft locked unless we recover the old party sheet and play with that party.
I house ruled that completing an already-done scenario awards only those rewards that don't stack awkwardly. So, no gloomhaven prosperity, no global achievements, no scenario unlocks, but yes to the gold and party achievements.
Does this make sense? I am afraid that I missed some rule or something, since it's weird that a party quitting softlocks the game...
