Yesterday, I accidentally dropped my Gen 4 Glock 26 on the floor while it had a Glock 19 mag in it fitted with a âX-Gripâ frame extender.
Pre-accidental drop state of handgun:
- No round in chamber
- Trigger all the way back
Now, I noticed after the handgun hit and bounced off the floor, the trigger was fully in position to fire.
Post-accidental drop state of handgun:
- slide bound up and will not rack
- trigger fully in firing position
- magazine fine no problems removing or inserting
I donât carry my Glock 26 with this magazine inside it and I use it as a back up magazine (I carry it with a flush mount 26 mag and the back up 19 magazine)
My worry is, did I damage my Glock 26? I realize the 26 isnât designed to deal with 19 magazines possibly, even though they fit and work at the range just fine. Maybe the 26 isnât designed to take abuse with other sized magazines.
Should I take it to the range and test it out or is that dangerous, I have yet to break it down fully to do an after-action inspection which is my next step.
I was thinking (pics included) that the longer Glock 19 mag may have pushed and pressed the trigger bar forward after hitting the ground which wouldnât be possible with the shorter Glock 26 magazine?
Pics of my 26 and magazines:
I was curious what insight other people on here may have.
