Replacing trigger on EDC a responsible decision?

For the longest time now I’ve wanted to replace my EDC trigger mainly because I wanted to add more gold. With that being said, I’ve heard that the most reliable trigger is a factory trigger while some say as long as you do it right it should be fine. What is your take?
