Went to qualify with my brand new never fired g26.3 OD green today to add it to my CCW and had an awful time. Every other or every 2 rounds I’d get a failure to feed have to drop the mag rack it out and continue. Each time marring the tip of the round. 2 times it had a failure to fire at all it just clicked, rack it out, put the round back in and it fired. Shooting blazer brass 115g factory target ammo, both factory 10rd glock mags it came with. I’ve been shooting Glock soley for years, my grip is proper, thumbs proper, no teacup, no limp wrist none of that though this gun is a little smaller maybe I’m a bit high on the slide? It happened to my instructor whos experienced with micro 9’s and he verified my grip as perfect. My usual carry gun is a standard g30.3 (9rd flat baseplate mag so generally the same length as the g26 grip wise, pinky off. factory glock mags) with thousands of rounds through it of any ammo, it’s never once had a single problem. The only thing I ever modify on a carry glock is the extended slide release and the extended takedowns from Glock store talon grip which I did do straight away before even shooting it. I did notice that my guide rod seems bent. I noticed this before shooting it at all. I did not clean or oil the gun whatsoever, I barely use any lube at all with my other glocks just a tiny drop on the rails after cleaning, figured it’d be just fine for the short qualifying shooting session. It does have some of the factory copper anti seize in the rails of the slide which looks kind of dry. If you have any input please let me know what you think.
