With the formation of the MCO, it is critical that our members discuss ongoing issues and foster growth among its members.

Azerbaijani Strife

With recent tension between Turkey and Russia, we have seen some of this expose itself in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan who agreed to join the MCO is currently seeing internal strife thanks to bribes from Turkey. We would like to demonstrate solidarity with the Azerbaijani government and help root out these foreign elements that could cause great harm to the country. The FSB stands ready to assist Azerbaijan in these efforts, and we hope to bring peace to the country. It is critical that we stay united as a body and help our members who are victims of outside influence attempting to damage the country.

Tajikistan Attack

Tajikistan was only struck roughly 2 years ago by Pakistani terrorists operating through Afghanistan. We immediately replenished the equipment lost by Tajikistan, and then have conducted joint counter-terrorism operations with the ANA and Kazakh Spetsnaz in the Afghan lands between Pakistan and Tajikistan. While we can not completely eliminate the possibility of future attacks, we are making it very difficult for any such things from happening again.

Russia would like to float the idea of a potential MCO joint effort to remove Pakistan from current Pakistani-occupied Afghan lands. This could be a move of solidarity against the Pakistanis who are currently reeling from the war with India. In addition, this could help secure the border with Afghanistan as the ANA and Taliban have actually come together for operations against the invading Pakistani military. Russia already has planes deployed in Afghanistan to help counter Pakistani air assets that might try to expand upon the occupied territory.

ALAZ and AVZ

With the recent catalogue of the ALAZ and AVZ, we are confident that we should be able to develop a Central Asian brand that should boost industrialization for the entire region. With Volvo Cars also joining in a joint venture, Russia has been coordinating a return to the industrial base that we were once known for. With natural resources still being a key part of most of our economies, this diversification is a welcomed move. We will continue to support the developments of science and technology within the MCO.

It is for this reason, Russia will be expanding its computer science knowledge and education practices to Central Asia. While we previously opened the joining of our cyber programs for Central Asia, we would like to be far more proactive by expanding programs and schools focused on the development of computer science schools to Central Asia. Critical for the future of the modern day, we hope that computer science, math, and science become core educational foundations starting from primary school all the way through university.

In turn, we will expand our technology and science companies to Central Asia in order to facilitate the growth of these sectors. It is important that the citizens feel that there are opportunities to use their education, and with our companies, these citizens will find employment in this field, confirming the usefulness of these educations.

Military Capabilities

With the defense industry growing in the MCO, Russia would like to work with our partner members in order to better coordinate joint operations. For this reason, we would like to work on having the CSTO operate under an integrated command structure. With a shared language, and essentially shared equipment standards between all of us, having an integrated command structure will be critical in ensuring rapid responses both for offensive and defensive maneuvers. While our countries will maintain our respective militaries within our countries, the integrated command structure will be responsible for deployments of any CSTO/MCO units.
