Understanding that we have been wrongly accused of hacking into Chengdu and exposing the Chinese fighter program, we have decided to work with the Chinese counter-intelligence and cyberwarfare divisions in order to demonstrate our innocence. Putin, knowing that he did not sanction any such actions against China, has made this a top priority in order to make sure to punish those that have attempted to implicate Russia in this nonsense.

The FSB will be instructed to be the primary investigators as the Chinese have provided us with a significant amount of their evidence. All findings will be presented to Putin and to no other Russian politician, but shared with the Chinese Politburo Standing Committee as well. Putin has taken this personally, and wants to ensure that it is dealt with properly. The FSB will be conducting a thorough internal review to ensure there is not a turncoat among them who could have done this for bribe payments from the West. All computers and networks will also be searched for malware or potential viruses that could have been used in this false flag attempt. These measures have been taken since the Chengdu incident already given our concern that similar attempts might be made against Russian Defense Industries.

With this joint investigation into the matter, we are confident that the combined efforts of our respective intelligence and cyberwarfare divisions will reveal the real hackers. If they end up being Russians unaffiliated with the government, they will face the harshest punishment in Russia. If it turns out to be an attack from the West, we will look towards China for a joint effort against the enemy.
