The H-20 is a next generation subsonic deep penetration bomber capable of operating in contested airspace. With a low RCS of 0.075m2 frontal through the use of HFM RAM coating and computer designed tailored manufacturing, inline sawtooth engine intakes outtakes and leading/trailing edges alongside the flying wing design. The H-20 is also equipped with the Type 1475 derived Type 1515 advanced AESA radar utilizing advanced 0.25-µm high power Gallium Nitride on Silicon Carbide monolithic microwave integrated circuit for an adaptive multimode capable radar array integrated in the leading edge of the flying wing for narrow beamforming capability alongside multispectrum electronic countermeasures integrated. Through its powerful ventral mounted stabilized optronics including infrared and laser designators for low visibility missions alongside internal SATCOM and JSIDLS (Joint Service Integrated Data Link System) for maximum integration and cooperation between interservice AEW&C and space based reconnaissance assets providing the most accurate readings for strike missions. With a cost of $120 million per unit, the H-20 enters service this year and will be the stealthy slow-flying bomber in the PLAAF bomber force, alongside the supersonic low observable JH-XX.
