This year, DRDO and HAL debuts their 2 UCAV concepts that they've been working on for the past few years
DRDO AURA
AURA is an autonomous stealthy unmanned combat air vehicle (UCAV), being developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation for the Indian Air Force. The UCAV will be capable of releasing missiles, bombs and precision-guided munitions from its internal weapons bay. The ADA describes the AURA as a "self-defending high-speed reconnaissance UAV with weapon firing capability". The AURA will cruise at medium altitude and will be capable of carrying two or more guided strike weapons with on-board sensors for targeting and weapon guidance. The flight control system and data link packages of Aura (unmanned combat aerial vehicle) will be designed and developed jointly by ADA and Defence Electronics Application Laboratory and are based on avionics being developed for the 5th generation HAL AMCA.

HAL NICOW
The Networked Interdicting Combat Operation Wingman is an unmanned wingman vehicle, with various sizes scaled for different missions. Overall, it is an unmanned, low observable-near stealth UCAV.
UCAV design has an aerodynamic almond-shaped nose, mid-wing monoplane with slender fuselage and V-tail.
According to HAL specifications, the vehicle will have 3 classes. NICOW (Light) will have a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of 1,300 kg and will be 6.4 m long and 4.4 m wide. NICOW (Medium) will have an MTOW of 3,500kg and dimensions of 8.2mx5.8m , while NICOW (Heavy) have an MTOW of 8,600kg, and dimensions of 10.4mx7.8m.
The Light variant will h be powered by an indigenously developed HAL PTAE 7 turbojet engine for a speed of Mach 0.7. The Medium and Heavy variants will be powered by a miniaturized GTSU-110 for 12kN-15kN of thrust and a speed of Mach 0.85.
The UCAV will feature a modular ventral payload bay that can accommodate up to 250kg/500kg/800kg of stores, including air-to-surface weapons, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR), and electronic warfare (EW) payloads.
It will have a combat radius of up to 400km/550km/700km and can be directed by a pilot via a multi-frequency sub-1 GHz communication system with an integral datalink at ranges of up to 300 km, although it can also operate in a fully pre programmed autonomous mode once it leaves control range.
Each unit will cost $5 million (Light), $8 million (Medium) or $12 million (Heavy)
