HMS Queen Elizabeth have returned to her birthplace in Rosyth for her scheduled deep refit. During this 24 months refit, she will be retrofit to her CATOBAR standards, as well as modernising her equipment and facilities. She will take the place of HMS Hermes following her commissioning ceremony, which will take over Queen Elizabeth's place as the Flagship of Red Squadron. HMS Ark Royal will take Queen Elizabeth's place as fleet flagship.

Also arriving at Rosyth is the HMS Albion, there for its decommissioning ceremony, as the venerable LPD is decommissioned.
