Poland is a country in Central Europe with a long cultural history and strong national identity. Since the fall of communism, it has has become one of the region's strongest economizes.
The country is ruled by the right-populist Law and Justice party. In 2015, they won the first outright majority in the Polish parliament since the end of communist rule. They promise a platform of market liberalism and right-wing traditional values. They have become increasingly Euroskeptic, stating that the union should benefit Poland and not the other way around.
