Poland has long held an environmental policy that is a relic of a bygone era. As such, the Polish government is attempting to reduce Carbon emissions by at least 10%. To do this, the government will begin cutting down on Poland's large Coal burning operations, Poland is the ninth largest coal producer in the world, will be instituting a Carbon tax on greenhouse gas emissions taxing $200 US on every tonne of Carbon produced. Furthermore, the Polish government will be expanding its Wind Power production capacity to 3000 MW by 2019. Doubling their current capacity. This project will cost 5 billion USD. Poland will also be implementing a tax incentive on new hybrid and electric vehicles. When purchasing a hybrid vehicle, the purchasing party will receive 5,000 Zloty back while an electric vehicle buyer shall receive 10,000 Zloty. Companies like Tesla Motors, which finished 4 supercharging stations earlier this year, will be encouraged to open shop and start selling in Poland and shall receive tax benefits. This all stems from the Polish government's commitment to the Paris agreement. Private corporations wishing to take on other clean energy projects in Poland are invited.
