In light of recent events in Italy. Poland calls upon the international community to issue international sanctions against Italy. Their claim of the entire Mediterranean is both ridiculous and frightening. Many countries rely on the Mediterranean for trade and industry and the apparent willingness of the Italians to back up their claim with armed force is truly worrying. Poland calls for the following sanctions against the Italian government.

• Banning the wholesale entirely the supply of military equipment to Italy

• Economic sanctions including but not limited to:

The suspension of all but essential travel to Italy

Banning all energy related trade

As above, banning all arms and munitions related trade

Freezing the international assets of major shareholders of Italian banks such as UniCredit- Capitalia and Intesta Sanpaolo.

• Banning the importation of goods from the largest manufacturing sectors of Italy. This would include industries such as the automobile industry, chemical production, and electrical equipment

• The expulsion of Italy from the European Union
