The Bolivian government issued a formal statement asking for the withdrawal of chilean troops from Bolivian lands and a formal return of said land. This has largely been due to a massive right-wing nationalist backlash against the giving up of bolivian land without even a fight, especially since Peru would have backed us.
Last year Riots broke out when it was announced the territory would be ceded to Chile, and recently they have broken out once again in La Paz, forcing the Government to act. Talks have opened up with Peru in order to reclaim both countries stolen land. Many groups in Chile are demanding a pacific Corridor, to reclaim the lost land from the War of The Pacific, however the Bolivian government has not caved to these demands yet.
