I think a lot of people in matchmaking have this as a problem in clutch situations, they have information that would inform their own decisions in what to do in that situation, you don't. If they call 2 B site, and you're right next to it with the bomb, maybe they in your situation would peek because one is low and the other one is looking the other way. But that takes way too much time to communicate and in the moment that happens, their positions can shift. You should always listen to your own gut on what to do with the information you have available to yourself.
Depending on how long you have been playing this game and how much you are used to it, we all have internal timings of how things can change depending on the info you're given at any time, and as such, you have to treat information unless very specific as nebulous and vague.
This is of course in reference to decisions others make for you as an individual as supposed to decisions made as a team, if someone calls "We should push this site" more often than not a bad plan followed through is much better than a good plan half ignored.
The same advice applies to you in their position, only give information that can help them, don't confuse their internal thought pattern with conflicting instructions. At worst, let them make a bad decision they thought was right and keep spirits high.
