People who have unbound space to jump and use scroll wheel, how do you jump smoke?

I saw that to make your movement more fluid it's best to use scroll wheel to jump but I didn't take into account how weird it felt to jump throw grenades till I tried it in game, do you use your middle finger on the scroll wheel and your other finger to release or have you setup a bind specifically to jump throw?
