This is more of a vent post, so most of you will hate it. But, I'm doing it anyway. I'll take the downvotes that I'm expecting...
So, I've played with a lot of people who actually think having 2000 hours makes you an expert at the game. I'm frankly getting fucking tired of hearing hours = skill. The main reason for this is I have 4,000 FUCKING HOURS in the game, and I suck so much. I've noticed myself getting much worse at the game, but according to the community, someone like me who's life is literally school (homeschooled) and CS, should be winning Majors. In reality, I'm sitting at DMG and failing to improve. Seriously, with the logic of "More hours = always getting better," that means if you work 45 minutes away from your house that, to work alone, you will have driven 1,642 and a half hours. Does that automatically make you a professional car driver? No! So don't look at my fucking hours and expect me to carry you! And when I eventually come dead last, don't bitch at me saying "oh, he has 4,000 hours and he sucks dick at the game!" I'm sorry, let me just magically improve my skill. I'll just go do some 1v1 and Aim Practice and I'll get to Global tomorrow!
So, what I'm trying to say is hours don't mean shit. Everyone is actively trying to improve at this game, but some people improve at extremely slow rates. Call me too determined, call me a no-lifer, whatever. I just want people to stop looking at hours and thinking "they're better than me because they have 100 more hours!"
