Let me start by saying that I have been playing FOS games for a long time. But I havenโt put ad much time into tactical FPS games.
So I put some effort into practicing/warming up each session, and normally perform fairly well in death match. The problem comes from actual games, where I make mistakes that lead to dying. Things like forgetting to counter strafe, starting to spray before lining up my shot, not committing to a peek/swing. Generally just slipping up under the pressure of an actual match.
Anyone have some tips for improving this? Things like mental habits, practice, etc. I really only have this problem in tactical shooters, probably because engagements are so quick.
