I always get flagged to head to an officer’s booth. The interview is short but it’s just annoying. The officer told me that green cards were able to be processed automatically via the machine in the past but now there’s a glitch where permanent residents are always flagged. Is this the case with other greencard holders?
Edit: I have a conditional 2 yr greencard due to marriage. Not sure if that may be the issue.
Sidenote: the officer’s suggestion to me to avoid the glitch was to give up my green card and go back to being a tourist…what??!? Do they even know how hard it is to become a permanent resident.
