Yesterday I read a post about someone who jokingly declared that they wanted to experience a glitch. They experienced something strange and laughed about it. This inspired me to declare to the universe, very seriously, that I wanted to experience a glitch. I also said that it didn’t have to be a big glitch, just any glitch at all.

That takes us to today, where I am in my home office. I was sitting in my chair and just finished work when I realized I misplaced my vape. It’s a small Juul vape, so it slips off of things and gets lost all the time. So the way my office is setup, I have a small 4’ by 6’ rug on the floor with a big leather chair on top. Recently I purchased a seat cover for the chair, and the Juul would slip off of it and instead of landing on the floor, get stuck in the sheet-like material draped over it. It has four pieces, one for the back rest, one for the seat and one for each arm rest. It can get stuck in any of them.

I looked everywhere, flipped the chair upside down, took all of the covers off the chair and shook them out. I was so defeated, I called my partner into the room to help me look. I couldn’t find it anywhere. After shaking the chair loose in hopes of dislodging a lost nicotine vessel, I felt something underneath my foot, underneath the carpet.

It was my Juul. I have no idea how it got there. I was sitting in my chair for hours and hadn’t even walked behind it at all today. The carpet was never flipped during in the entire discombobulation of my office. The edges have never even curled up on this carpet and it sits very flat on the floor. My Juul was only missing for maybe a minute before I realized that it was gone. How can it travel from the chair to tucked so nicely underneath the carpet? The only explanation I have for it is that my clearly stated desire was fulfilled. I had forgotten about my declaration to the universe. It was very unexpected, and I didn’t even realize it right away. About 15-20 minutes later when I was upstairs doing dishes, I realized I had just received what I wanted. And just like that, a simple, unexplainable occurrence manifested in my reality by clearly declaring a desire to experience something out of the ordinary.

What else can we collectively experience by simply setting an intention and making it known to the universe? I did not focus on it for very long and it occurred the very next day. I’m interested in hearing what everyone here can do by setting their intention clearly.

TL;DR: Be careful what you wish for, you may end up nicotine deprived.
