A bit of exposition: I live in a large house with two friends (Kev and Matty), and Matty's boyfriend Tony. Tony's brother lives upstairs with his fiance.

So I'm sitting around talking with Matt. Last night while i was at work there was a bit of drama concerning bills. It's really just the tip of the drama iceberg, but those details don't matter.

After the conversation recalling bad emotions Tony and I went out to to the porch to smoke a cigarette. A couple of minutes later we hear a shattering sound in the kitchen. I was standing right in front of the door so I turned and opened it immediately. Matty is standing in front of the sink holding a coffee mug handle with a shocked expression on his face. According to him he just walked up to the sink and tossed the water out of the mug, and when his hand completed the arc the mug just...shattered. I flicked my cig and went over to look. The only contents of the sink were a couple of plastic protein shake cups and a large flimsy plastic bowl; in short nothing that could have broken the cup.
