Solo hiking trip to escape the Florida heat and soak up the Glacier goodness. I've been looking through the NPS sight and learned that the east side is closed, so am planning to fly into Kalispell, MT and stay there as a 4 day, 3 night base (I have Marriott points to spare).
I'm looking for feedback on if staying here; is it feasible to make it back and forth into the park to hike, or is it better to spend the money and find a cabin inside the park? If so, what's the best source to locate and in the park cabin? I've had limited success with Air BNB.
Any suggestions on where to stay and on the best places to visit is very much appreciated.
I actually just cancelled my trip 😔 I realized I start school two days earlier than I thought and those two days I was going to spend driving back home. My trip to Glacier would go from 4 days to 2 and I really want to be able to enjoy the trip. I’m going to Colorado now but I hope to go in the Spring now! :)
Omg thank you!!! I can’t believe I just found this! :)
That’s actually where I’m going! We are arriving in Denver and from there driving out to Estes Park. I’ve never been to Colorado or on mountains so I’m very excited! 😀

So guess what? I’m not going anymore! LOL we just found out about the current fires going on and have decided it might not be the best time to go. We’ve now decided and booked for a trip in the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee! 😆 I’m just happy I’m seeing mountains at this point lol
