This is a bit of rant/vent and I've made comments on it before in this reddit but.. I'm sorry I really just can't seem to exhaust myself of the stress I get from even thinking about this game..
I really liked ZZZ, Zenless Zone Zero, at the start. I recognized immediately that this game was a bit saucey but hey I kinda like some hot girls and guys myself.
I failed to realize to just what extent the game would go.
The insane jiggle physics, the hypersexual advertising, the designs of some of the characters...
I was willing to deal with, or even occasionally enjoy, some of this but two things just utterly break my ability to play this game...
You simply cannot have a normal conversation with people (mostly men) about this game. Simple a dialogue as "I like [character]" in discord is nigh guaranteed to be followed up with some kind of implicitly or overtly sexual reaction, such as the "licking" or "sniffing" emoji you'd probably have seen were you in the community. Even the official discord had users posting adult Content material, openly! As though minors cannot just join that server and see this material just there in chat.
The idols...
It is questionable for a game this heavily sexualised to have child characters present in it at all. It is extremely questionable for this game to have those child characters be themselves sexualised.
Yet it is that some while back I saw a post mocking the "normies" for feeling the game was too sexual, and in that thread again mocking "normies" (I guess that's me) for how they are going to feel about the release of the idol trio.
So I did what any normal person would do and Googled these characters as I had not seen them, and my dear God that's when I uninstalled.
These characters are fucking children.
The posts mocking us "normies" for feeling put off by this are not outliers either, they were highly up-voted top posts.
I guess this isn't really a "girl gamer" post outside of most of my issue with this clearly stemming from men inside of this community, and it's more of a rant than anything.. but it was eating me up inside after I had an argument with someone about it and so I made this post... sorry
Sure! Here’s the translation:
“Yes, you’re absolutely right about this. Overwatch had a boom like no other within adult content. It started to become very annoying in general. I’m a Mei main, and every time I talk about her, people point out how ‘thick’ or ‘hot’ she is, or they just focus on her being fat or Asian. I know this happened before, but it intensified since they made it free to play—now ‘anyone’ has access. I was also really excited about Juno’s release, and it seems like the community was more excited to have a new golden model to sexualize”
