So sick of the dumb "I don't want to spend time with my wife just wanna game" jokes on other subreddits

Post Body

Like making jokes that you hate your partner isn't funny?? Making jokes about your partner doing the housework while you avoid them and game isn't funny????? I'm so over it. I get that some couples have different hobbies but the men who constantly make these jokes and then get mad when someone points out they're toxic are really starting to annoy me. I wanna browse other subreddits and learn about games I like without being reminded that men view women as objects and think they're annoying.

As a side note I am very impatiently waiting for the D4 expansion and season to launch and hanging out with my partner while I wait

This has always bothered me. I have male friends who are always bemoaning that they don’t have time to game or they have to leave the D&D session short because of their wives. Like son. So many questions here. Are you so incompetent that she is on her last straw with your shit and needs you to be adult NOW!? Or does she actually genuinely just hate your hobbies like you claim?

If it’s the latter… I don’t understand why people marry each other when they don’t share or even like each other’s hobbies!? It makes no sense to me. This is your passion and the thing that makes you happy but you’ll never get to share that with your spouse!? Imagine being talked down to for your favorite activity for the rest of your married life?? I’m starting to think these guys have a degradation kink. 😅

***unmarried gay autistic woman so take my opinion with a grain of salt 🤣
