Hello there GOG, I'm Alex from India. I'm almost 16 and still waiting for the results of my grade 10 exams (I think I did good maybe). I am requesting for a copy of Stardew Valley
Bit of a background and why I want the game:
My parents enrolled me in an extra set of classes that are aimed at cracking what is apparently one of the toughest exams. I'm doing pretty good subject-wise (completed Vectors and just started Kinematics in physics), but tbh the timings are really really hard on me. I have 10 hours of school 2 hours of classes (8 am - 8pm) the 30 or so questions I'm assigned everyday, for 6 days of the week. Added to this, I have 2 sets of tests (school and the extra thing) every week on Mondays, so I can't even enjoy Sundays cuz I'm stressed out about the tests the next day. My laptop had some problems with its fans, cuz why not eh? So I cant even play most of the games I own in an hour or a half that i get
One of the main reasons I am requesting for Stardew Valley is because the world is really lively and fun. You basically come to this old, dilapidated town and try to fix it with your farming skills. You can help fix the abandoned community center and make your town a better place to live. As the not-so-old saying goes, "the real treasure is the friends we made along the way". And yes they truly are. The npcs are really really good in this game. Imo they are one of the best aspects. They are not stagnant (right word?) like most games. Instead, it feels like they are real characters talking to you and making decisions.
As I already described, this game has an incredible world with amazing characters, and I think spending a hour there would really help me deal with the stress on my shoulders, as it did with many of those played the game
And if you've read this far, thank you. You didn't have to read a 16 yr old ranting about his classes on the internet, but you took your time and did it anyways. thank ya mates
