Well, it’s that time again…

Earlier today, Dead By Daylight released their newest chapter, Sadako Rising. This is a licenced chapter, from the Japanese version of The Ring, Ringu. While I’ve never had a huge connection to Ringu itself, in part due to the language barrier, The Ring has had a massive impact on my life. As a child, it was my favourite scary movie, and boy did it scare me haha. Samara really haunted my dreams back then. The Ring was really my introduction to horror, which has since spiraled down into a full blown horror addiction.

Further, about DBD. Since buying it last August, I have… uhhh, played it a bit. Through it’s ups and downs, MMR, Stranger Things, Boons, etc, I’ve loved the game since I bought it. It’s definitely not a game for the faint of heart, but Matthieu Coté certainly puts it correctly when he refers to DBD as a ‘Hall of Fame of Horror.’ With icons from across horror generations like Michael Myers, Amanda Young, Pyramid Head, and the Hell Priest (Pinhead) to name a few, it’s truly a who’s who of horror, and that’s part of what originally drew me to the game, but now it’s gotten to the point where I see objects in my house and I’m planning how to loop around them. I guess that’s what 730 hours of a game does to you.
