Hey folks,

Recently, Dead By Daylight announced their 10th tome, for SAW. I’ve been playing the game for about half a year now, and have around 550 hours. I love DBD, despite some of the dev’s actions, and I also love (most) of the community. I’ve loved playing with my friends, trying out silly builds, and experiencing the new chapters that come out. The recent chapters have been really exciting, with Ringu coming out in March, and the Hellraiser (My favourite horror movie) and Resident Evil chapters that came out recently. The lore gets a bit complex, with the existence of the Entity, why it picks killers/survivors, etc, and doesn’t really affect gameplay, but it’s always an interesting thing to learn about the various worlds the characters come from.

SAW is also my favourite horror movie franchise, because I’ve always loved the psychology of Jigsaw and the design of the traps. Jigsaw’s ability to help the victims… sometimes… is really intriguing, and the mentality the traps put you in, how you’re willing to sacrifice anything to save yourself (Amanda’s Bear Trap, Simone in the Pound of Flesh trap, etc). The plot overall gets a bit confusing, with the flashbacks within a flashback, but if I could recommend any one franchise to you all, I’d show you Saw. The trap plots are exquisite, and the cop plot, while not perfect, leads the viewer along with the cops to find Jigsaw, and really helps with the world building of SAW.

I want to support the franchise, but I dont have the spare cash to spend on auric cells right now. Lockdowns in Canada have really hit hard. Because of this, I turn to you kind members of r/giftofgames. If anyone has 20$ to spare, it’d be greatly appreciated.
