Let me tell you the funny way I found interest in this game!

I was playing Wip3out SE for PS1 again and was having issues with the corners. Considering the Wipeout series is basically just future F1, I looked up how to make better turns in racing/how turns are done in F1. I ended up on this guy’s YouTube channel. I ended up catching a glimpse of Virtua Racer. I had remembered the game to be much slower and more crude than it actually is (at least for the time context—‘93)!

Cat’s video and his passion for Viruta Racer really sold me on the game (and 8-player splitscreen?!). I have recently got a job after not having one for a bit and was gonna purchase it in two weeks. Unfortunately, I had a nasty fall on ice and strained my spine and tore my left hip flexor, meaning I’ll have to rest for the time being. Seeing as I’ll be in bed for AGES, It’d be a blast to have something to play and beat lap times, practice learning the line playing with loved ones that visit.
