Hello, I'm making a request for an indie game called Voidigo, that was recently a part of the Humble choice lineup
What is Voidigo?
Voidigo is a top-down game in the style of Nuclear Throne, Blazing Beaks and most notably Enter the Gungeon. So in general, it is a roguelite, but with fast-paced, reaction-based gameplay with permadeath and randomized levels. It also has a quite colorful art-style and fantastic music from what I've heard on Youtube.
Why do I want it?
I've been playing Nuclear Throne (and a little bit of Gungeon) at a friend's for quite a while, on his PS4. I've grown accustomed to this type of gameplay and I've found out I really enjoy roguelikes in general, especially the aspect of dying and getting better, whether its by your own skill improvement or just having more items backing you up. While I enjoy platformer roguelites, I've wanted to scratch that itch for the top-down shooter genre a bit, and I'm really attached to the colorful, vibrant art-style of Voidigo (especially since it's pixel-art which I love), along with all the usual gameplay elements I've seen from videos, plus the fast frantic nature and gun/weapon variety it brings to the table.
Why can't I buy it myself?
I'm dependent on my parents still, which means absolutely no games or game store money (in this case Steam). I understand why, we're not in a good financial situation and they're used to the idea that games are just free (I used to pirate a lot as a younger kid, but dislike doing it now) Almost all of my games on steam are from friends gifting them on birthdays, the rest being from Humble giving them away for free during limited periods. Since the game was part of the recent Humble lineup, I figured I'd request here, since it's better if someone has a key they don't need/want. I know I have the option to search for a job for younger students, but if I did that, my parents would still control the money and what it goes towards; they would be absolutely angry if I worked (whilst sacrificing time for school) for game money, even if that ends up being a small part of my expenses.
Thank you for reading and maybe considering my request. Why I normally like the idea of giveaways, I don't like to seem like a beggar. But I figured it would be timely appropriate to ask, since someone might still have a key they don't want or need from the recent bundle.
