Now a lot of you may not know me and I've been absent for a while. I'll try to make a good TLDR summary at the end since this may get mushy.
Long ago many of you had either hosted giveaways or simply just sent me games out of the kindness of your own heart. You do not understand how much it meant to me as I constantly go through the thralls of life just like many of you guys probably felt.
Just knowing the fact a stranger had the compassion and soul to send me games for whatever reason to make my day just a little better, I have no words for especially coming from a young jaded person who thought the world was filled with misery and potholes and those who would create such situation.
My life has gone through many ups and downs, and still many more downs to come... but anytime I get into a particularly dark spot, I check my library of games and see that some of them have been contributed by people and thinking just how many other people there are who do the same for others.
The last time I got this mushy, I didn't have much to give except for duplicate and mystery discount games I had lying around. Though my mood may not have turned a 180 and I'm cured of all the darkness that I constantly battle with, I am in a better situation to do more good for the community if just a little bit.
So the spot you guys are waiting for... the actual giveaway.
I want to continue to altruism so I thought of a way to do this giveaway. Instead of nominating yourself I would like you guys to nominate a person who should receive a gift of game for whatever reason. Whether they are down on their luck and need a pick me up or for simply being an amazing person in your life.
Speaking of which, let me Segway into the amazing gifters in my reddit life
u/glargamos u/pslessard u/IAmTheItchyGoat u/Saadieman and RAJuszczyk (where ever you went) THANK YOU FOR DOING A GIVEAWAY
To u/Rogosjin I thank you for constantly rekindling the flame of hope in me. Once again you don't know how much you guys done for me to this day.
Kay back to the nitty gritty rules
1) Nominate a person to receive a gift
2) The person nominated must (preferably 😉) have a reddit account and have a reddit history. Type the person's reddit account user name and if they have a related game account like so u/ShadowzI https://steamcommunity.com/id/ShadowzI
3) Describe why you are nominating the person
4) Pick a game for that person
5) Once the giveaway is over I will message that person, if the person refuses the gift I will ask them to select a person themselves (if the chain of forwarding the gift gets too complicated I will go back and pick someone else)
6) Giveaway will end sometime around Sunday. It may take a bit longer for me to decide but Monday (00:00 EST) is the absolute cutoff point and during Sunday the cut off may happen suddenly if I've picked and contacted the person already.
7) Enjoy your holidays and thank or enjoy the loving company of all the people in your life whether they be physically there or somewhere else.
I forgot to mention, to give everyone a chance the way winner would be selected would be a random group of people selected first within the pool (10% and I'll be using this site to generate the name https://miniwebtool.com/random-picker/) I will then be going over the person's account and reason for the gift and the game they are looking for.
I don't really want to set a limit for the game, but I know some game prices can get ridiculous right now. So for now the loose rule is anything within reason (for example the complete edition of train simulator will most likely be very financially irresponsible of me unless I crowd fund it).
TL:DR As thanks to this community I want to give a gift to a person of your choosing.
