Hello!
I'm a student living in Bosnia and Herzegovina who has had a strong desire for video games ever since the age 5, but now I am 16 years old!
My Backstory.
I've always loved old games, more specifically PS2 games (or any game around that time). My first console was, indeed, a PS2. With it, came Grand Theft Auto: VC, some sports games and a little game called Hummer: Badlands. I ABSOLUTELY loved playing that Hummer game, more than GTA. As I grew older, I'd keep my PS2 lying around somewhere collecting dust, but then recently I found it, alongside with my old games, Hummer included. While going to my TV trying to hook it up and replay some of my sweet and nostalgic memories, I'd learnt that the console wasn't working anymore. Then I realized it was ok and it was aging anyways. Then I bought a computer, got some new games (with services like Epic Games Store, some free Steam games, and Uplay free games), and that was it. I continued on life as usual, upgraded my computer, bought a PlayStation 3, and now I'm sitting here writing this post.
The Piracy Situation in BaH.
Growing up, whenever I wanted to play a video game, I'd pirate it. That was the case everywhere I'd go, my cousins' house, my friend's house, they all had pirated games. Which I thought it was fine because we were having fun playing those games. But as I grew older, I strained further from piracing, currently I rarely pirate any game, maybe if it's a lowly-reviewed one, but still, only a few times yearly. Our government, unfortunately, doesn't care about it. Sure they have written laws about piracy usage, but still don't restrict it. If I were to make a guess, I'd say that every at least more than 10-15% of the country pirates music, video games and movies, and stuff like that. While I'm not gonna bash them for pirating, in my own opinion, I don't think it's okay for the creators of that content.
Why I want this game.
I've always had Konami in my soft spot when it came to games, I really love their Silent Hill franchise, I've played most of the mainline games, Silent Hill 1, Silent Hill 2, you know how it goes, but I've never tried out the Metal Gear franchise, and I always hear amazing things about this series and the depth and detail went into it.
Why can't I buy this game with my own money?
As said before, I am 16 years old still, and everytime I'd ask my parents if I could make some online purchases with their credit card (with their permission, of course), I'd always get a solid 'no'. Why? Every parent here, and I'm not exaggerating when I say EVERY, every parent here doesn't use their credit card other than for work. So that means they don't use it for online shopping, buying groceries, or even services like PayPal, just for work and money transactions. Sure, kiosks exist here and they do sell gift cards, even for Steam, but I never can buy one, why? They don't allow me.
So that's why, I came here to ask for Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance and also thank you for reading my story and all of this I wrote, it would make my entire year if someone did this, and maybe once I get my own credit card and money I'll return here and return the favor to someone else, so, thank you.
