[REQUEST] [STEAM] A $5 Gift Card for Fallout 3 GOTY

Post Body

Hello everyone. Lately, I’ve been in the mood to play RPGs. As such, I’ve returned to playing Skyrim and had a blast playing through quests I had not yet discovered or completed. I have been playing Minecraft Java as well, and have become better at the game PvP-wise since I first got it. I also got the opportunity to play Fallout: New Vegas, a game I had previous requested here on this sub a long while back but the request wasn’t fulfilled unfortunately. I’ve gotten almost all achievements for it with the exception of the “Hardcore “achievement and have enjoyed playing through the many community quest mods with each one being unique in its own way and I still am. If I were to rate the game, I’d easily give NV a 10 if it weren’t for the many bugs that were littered throughout and the crappy optimization on Win10. Still, the story is phenomenal although the gameplay does feel outdated a bit.

I’m here to request Fallout 3: GOTY, New Vegas’ (widely regarded) weaker predecessor. I feel like it would be weird to tell you that I’ve played this game on my Xbox before, but that was only the base version without the 5 DLCs. Now, for some ungodly reason, there isn’t any season pass or bundle for it. This makes purchasing the game and its 5 DLCs cost a whopping $40. That’s outrageous for a game from 2008.

Thing is, Steam has the GOTY up for $7.99 or $6.99 (can't remember) during sales and that looks like the way to go and I am sure that i will be able to cover the rest of the cost. Not to forget, the game, like New Vegas, has been supported by community mods throughout its lifetime and I’m sure that there are still some mods being pumped out for it but at a slower pace, of course. I’m also well aware that the Steam version requires some tweaking to work but after New Vegas, I don’t think that it will be that big of a problem.

3’s reputation isn’t the brightest, being called out for having a flat story, but while it may be that way, the exploration and world building were incredibly engaging that they’d be immersive enough to almost ignore its not-so-great feats. The side quests however, proved to be way better than the main story and surpassed it in my opinion (as with all Bethesda games most of the time). The one I most clearly recall was about this android named Harken, whom you could convince him that he isn’t really human but that’s just nearly halfway through the game when you reach Rivet City.

Overall, I enjoyed the main game even when its choices were more limited than New Vegas, but I was disappointed to find out that I couldn’t explore the game after finishing the main story because I didn’t own the Broken Steel DLC which was such a stupid decision from Bethesda. I’m mainly curious about the DLCs as there’s loot that can’t be obtained in the base game, the level cap has been increased from 20 to 30, the added quests, and I believe, new maps.

The last time I requested on this sub, the Lebanese economy had gone to shit and it still is. I remember mentioning that $1 was around 8650LBP, well now it’s $1 for 15000LBP. It was 3 days ago (or around that) that the exchange rate was $1 for 13000LBP. Hope that gave you a glimpse of the corruption here. Other than that, I just wanted to say that I’d be really grateful if I get this game and thanks for reading.
