Remember as a kid, you go to a carnival, or a fair, or to the local arcade?
Remember the adrenaline that coursed through your veins as you try your hand at winning the big prizes?
Remember the feeling of euphoria when you actually won something, be it a stuffed toy, or a big gun that shoots lights with crappy fake gun noises, and that you wanna keep going and win more?
Now you can. All in this amazing game built by a single indie developer. He's created a whole universe with multiple arcades, with funny physics where you can actually pick items up and smack the robots around. There are a ton of different machines you get to play, some familiar, many new. You get tickets from playing the games, and eventually trade them in for nonsensical items. You can even match your highscores in the games against other players in the world!
Personally, I love arcade games. However as a kid growing up in a relatively poor family, I never had much time spent in them. That's why I remember and treasure all the rare moments when I was in an arcade, sometimes making new friends with the other kids, beating games together.
I always believed that as I grew older, I would be financially more independent and be able to splurge at the arcades like I wish I could as a kid. However I could not be more wrong, as there are a lot more financial responsibilities in life that I could not fathom as a kid. Working as a frontline medical worker, our hearts might be pretty full at times, but wallets not so much.
The game is still in early access as more features and arcade machines are being added in, and did I already mention this whole game is made by a lone developer, which is a tremendous amount of effort for one person!
Currently it is going for $8.99 on Steam. If you can't buy it for me, I hope you at least take a chance to try out the free game demo/watch the video and maybe support the developer and have some fun of your own!
Stay safe and have fun gaming everyone!
