I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. These are turbulent times and many are dealing with new stressors and uncomfortable situations. Every country is different, but hopefully if you are able to read this than you are fortunate enough to be safe in quarantine.
Big thank you to 1939 Games for their generous giveaway of Booster Pack codes for their game, KARDS: The WWII Game. It is a FREE TO PLAY competitive card game with an excellent WWII theme full of fantastic sound effects and cool artwork. You can read my review here! I am a dedicated Magic: The Gathering Player, and used to play a lot of Hearthstone, Gwent (100%'d Thronebreaker), and Eternal, however, I eventually got bored of them all because they just made me want to play Magic. 300 hours later, I am still LOVING KARDS.
The frontline mechanic is the main appeal for me - unlike your standard player-vs-player card game where you take turns dropping stuff on your side (support line), KARDS uses a space in the middle of the battlefield (frontline) where you can fight against your opponent for control (allowing you to attack into their support line unless you have artillery/air units that can attack from your own support line).
If you are interested in this game and want to learn more, there are many awesome streamers playing the game (including myself). You can also join the KARDS Discord server, where the community is very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. There are monthly tournaments (usually with $1000 cash prizes!) and many unofficial ones to keep things interesting. There is also a FREE expansion coming out on December 9th, 2020 with 81 new cards being added to the pool!
I would also highly recommend you to try out the game on Steam since it is free, and if you like it please enter the giveaway!
There are 2 different packages being given away, and I will be handpicking winners based on how many entrants we end up having. These are the different gifts:
- Large Gift Bundle:
- 5 Standard packs - Basic set
- 5 Standard packs - Allegiance set
- 2 Draft tickets
- 35 Resources
30 Gold
Small Gift Bundle:
3 Standard packs - Basic set
3 Standard packs - Allegiance set
30 Gold
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT ALL CODES WILL EXPIRE ON JANUARY 1ST, 2021.
Let's begin!
Although you do not need to answer every question, please note that I have always selected entrants with the most information. More effort = better chance. I will most likely be reading these during my graveyard shifts and late night streams, so the more help I have to stay awake, the better!
Buckle your seat belts, it's going to be a self-reflective ride!
