Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a good day! I have come to request a game in the Assassins creed franchise considering the newest video of Assassins Creed Valhalla and the fact that Assassins creed Odyssey is currently 67% off!
I know Odyssey is a departure from the franchise being a more rpg with choices, but I try not to spoil myself on the details, so I can't say I know much about it beyond that. I will instead talk about my experience with the assassins creed franchise.
My journey with the franchise has been a roller coaster. I played the very first game the day it came out, to my shagrin, it did not work well on my xbox 360. It would red ring of death 5 minutes after playing. I was disappointed, and refunded it quickly after. I gave it another chance, that chance being assassins creed 2. I fell in love with it, the main character was charismatic and the story/setting was amazing. My personal favorite of the franchise is brotherhood, which takes up directly after 2 and I felt it never stopped getting better and better. Unfortunately, it fell from grace in revelations for me, but the fact that I got to see the end of the trilogy and the news of an assassins creed game set in the American revolution let me give the series a final chance.
Assassins creed 3 was a disappointment. I could go on and on about it but it was the final nail in the coffin for the franchise for me up to this point. Little did I know, however, Ubisoft would spoon feed me future installments for free throughout the years. I played through 4, and am currently going through syndicate. Both games I very much enjoy, so much so that i'm willing to open up the can of worms again and play the newest installment of the series to debate whether or not I would like to look into Valhalla in the future.
tl;dr - Roller coaster of a franchise and I would like to give the newest installment a shot before Valhalla
As in comes to why I cannot pay, it is because I am a college student. I would have liked to have gotten a summer job, but that would be when the game isn't on sale and me considering to play this summer safe due to the pandemic. All in all, I hope I can get this game and give Assassins creed another look through. Thanks for reading, and hey since you have read up to this point, do you have a favorite in the assassins creed franchise? Would love to just chat about it!
Edit: A friend of mine surprised me with a late birthday gift! Feel free to read the story though!
