Hello, i'm Phillippus and today i'm here to do a request.
I'd like to ask for Trails in the Sky SC. Why? It's very simple: Trails is a series that i love very much. I have to start by being honest and saying that i have played the game before. It was the psp version and it was many years ago, but i do not have access to a psp anymore, nor the means to acquire one and play the game. Not only that, but the steam version has some improvements (Most notably in translation) that makes it the version i'm most interested in. But why do i love the game? Well... If you look at my post history, you will see that i'm most active on /r/jrpg. That's because i love jrpgs. My favorite franchises are all jrpgs: Dragon Quest, Suikoden and Trails. All my favorite games are all jrpgs, and among those i have a immense love for turn-based rpgs. And the trails games have the three thing i like most about in a game: Good story, turn-based combat and interesting and compeling characters. Not only that, the game does a brilliant job at world-building and immersing you on it's own world. Every characters is a person with it's own story, it's own problems and motivations. There's no "Man A, Man B", there's no "shop clerk" or "kid", all of the characters are named people that make you feel like you are in Liberl (The country the game takes place) and that it's worth saving. And that immersion is one of the reasons i'm making this request. I got the first game of the trilogy from an amazing gifter here on GoG and i started playing immediately, taking my time and getting the most out of it. However... The second game is a direct continuation of the first. It's not a "next story", it's a direct continuation and if you played the game and enjoyed it as much as me, you'd be dying to continue. Fortunately the third game is no the same and even tho it's a sequel, it's sort of a new story with a new protagonist, so i can take a few months to save to buy it.
Now, to the second part... Why cant i afford it? I really dislike this part. Not because i dont want to tell the reason, but rather because i dont want to feel like i'm manipulating people to get me "free stuff" with a sob story. The truth is that i'm poor. Not only that, i live in South America, where prices are higher and the income is lower. So... You see, the game that i'm requesting is 69,99 to me, and if i'm lucky enough, i MIGHT be able to add 10 bucks to my steam wallet every other month. I actually started saving a while ago, but end of the year might be the worse time for me to earn money... I was actually expecting the game to be on sale this halloween, but after checking https://steamdb.info/sales/ even if the game was 50% off (wich never happened) i would still not be able to buy it.
Well... That's it... Thanks for wasting your time reading this.
