Hello GoG community, Kyy here! coming in to request skyrim special edition.
I have around 92 hours in special edition right now, my friend has it and we share libraries with each other. I wanna get rid of the limitations that come with having a shared library because me and him place roughly the same time and for the same amount of hours so I never get the chance to play as long as I want and when I want with the game. Thus, I am here. Basically im asking for the game to release me from the time constraints.
So anyway, you probably wanna know the backstory and my opinion on the game right? Well, before special edition came out I did play the original skyrim. Much to my shagrin and my first bethesda game, the original skyrim was buggy and it turned me off from playing it. (Esbern not talking still in infamy for when I just said fuck it and stopped playing) I remember the 50 or so hours I had on the o.g skyrim being a mixed bag thanks to the port and yeah.
Skip forward a couple years and me and one more recent friend decided to share libraries and he had skyrim special edition, I thought and hoped that maybe this being an updated game the port would be playable. (On top of the fact that I could get the unofficial patch, which previously was locked behind dlc I didn't get) Sure enough, it was! It works fine and without issue.
So thats the backstory, and now the opinion on the game itself. Skyrim special edition probably is one of my favorite games I have ever gotten the chance to play. There's something beautiful walking around the road only to find an excellent adventure. I have some problems with skyrim though, the combat can be a bit too easy at times. Sometimes they throw multiple easy enemies at your face instead of giving a real challenge to them. The story, at least from what i've gathered is lackluster in comparison to the excellent side quests.
So thats my opinion on the game itself, it has flaws yes but the immersion you can feel when playing makes it a truly great game.
But wait theres more! Mods!
The skyrim modding community is flourished, there's mods for everything and anything. Do you want to turn off crosshair and have bows be scoped? You can do that. You wanna make loading screens a thing of the past? 2 words, open cities. You name it the modding community has it. Do you not like the story and just want to make your own start instead? Alternate start: live another life is for you! What im getting at here is the flaws I just mentioned, you can just find mods that try to patch them up. Mods add so much to the game that even when im done playing, im not done playing.
Alright so there's my request, I hope you all had a pleasure reading.
